Developing ideas from photos
After my excursion to St Andrews the next task in the textiles futures module was a paper folding workshop. I found it quite difficult to get started and nothing seemed to be folding at the right angle. I went back into my sketchbook and had a look at the photos I had taken the previous week and then tried to represent what I was seeing with folds. There was quite a bit of trial and error but I ended up with a 3D object which actually inspired some more ideas for the project.
